"This game disappoints me. I see the potential, but I feel like the developers simply copied a horror concept instead of understanding why it works. I'm not just talking about it feeling like Indigo Park or Garten of Banban. It felt painfully obvious.
Now I know the concept of the main mascot not wanting to kill you is a good concept. You just need to understand why it works. As cool as it is, you don't need to do some wild gameplay gimmick to tell a good story. I can only hope the sequel is better than the first because the story...did not start out good. I'm sorry for being so critical.
Let's talk about something I did like about the game. The character designs. I like the 2-D designs. The 3-D designs weren't really translated well. Another thing I liked was the main game gimmick. I would've liked the magnet better if the mechanics were presented better. I barely saw the first keycard. I almost missed the second. I would recommend you allow the player to set up a few obstacles for the player to move around right after picking up the magnet. That way they will an easier time when in heated situations.
The chase sequence is a bit too long in my opinion. Some people like them, I barely do since I barely know the layout when chase sequences happen. This happens often in most indie horror games. I don't really get scared when this happens, I get more and more frustrated when I keep hitting dead ends which may or may not result in my death. I got lucky and some how managed to live through this game without dying.
Overall, this game makes me sad and not in a good way. If you think you would enjoy it, then try it. It's free."
