How to tag friends on Facebook .
Hi Paul here from PRwilson Media In this video I'm going to explore the ways in which you can tag your Facebook friends either in the posts that you make or in any photos that you add so that they can see the content and then possibly share further. Here's how it's done.
So here you are on your own timeline and in the what's on your mind click in the box and immediately you will see one of the options is actually tag friends. So you could just simply type in the name of somebody who you want to see the post. That's one way.
The second way is while you are actually creating the post you can use the @ character and then type in the first couple of letters of the person you want to tag.
And then the 3rd way would be to tag a photograph an image that you upload. So if I select here photo/ video I'll just pick any one of these and then I'll click post. You can then go to the picture after you have posted it and then you can say tag a photo. Anywhere in the area on the screen you want to choose, type in the first few letters and you can tag somebody in the picture.
Note as well you can tag pages so if I was to tag my own Facebook page. And this is all about them receiving notifications letting them know that they are included in the message so that they will then take some sort of action.
It may well be that your friends have got settings to prevent them being tagged in lots of different pictures. It depemds on how active they want to be on Facebook so be aware of that. Also bear in mind you can tag up to 50 people or pages in a photo but don't go tagging crazy on every post. It can be quite spam like behaviour to have lots of content tagged and it means that if they are tagged if their settings are the default then they basically the messages will go onto their own timeline as well. So bear that in mind. Think about people's wishes, privacy and respect that. But that's how it's done, that's how you do tagging.
