The Latvian armored vehicle bidding war is a three-way race between the K21, the Ascord, and the Tulpa. The K21 holds the upper hand due to its long-range attack capability on the open plains.
While it is the lightest, its 40mm main gun is more powerful than the 30mm guns found on other armored vehicles. Equipped with domestically produced Hyungung and Cheongeom surface-to-surface missiles, it boasts long-range attack capabilities that surpass tanks. Furthermore, its price is 30-40% lower than the Ascord and Tulpa. However, the K21 lost to the Sabra tank, which uses the Ascord chassis, in the light tank bidding war.
