Eine einfache, rund 4 ½-stündige Wanderung führt von der Bahnstation Uetliberg (813 m ü. M.) über Uto Kulm (869 m ü. M.), den Höhenzug der Albiskette mit Felsenegg (790 m ü. M.), Buechenegg (786 m ü. M.) und Albispass (791 m ü. M.) bis hinunter nach Türlen zum Türlersee (643 m ü. M.). Die beliebte Tour bietet ein eindrückliches Panorama auf die Stadt Zürich, den Zürichsee und die Zentralschweizer Alpen.
Der idyllische Türlersee befindet sich zwischen Aeugst am Albis und Türlen am Fuss des Türler- und Aeugsterbergs im Säuliamt (auf dem Gemeindegebiet von Hausen am Albis, Kanton Zürich). Er wird im Norden durch die Reppisch entwässert und ist ein unter Naturschutz stehendes Naherholungsgebiet. Die Entstehung des rund 1,4 km langen Türlersees geht zurück auf einen Bergsturz am Aeugsterberg während der letzten Eiszeit vor ungefähr 10'000 Jahren. Durch das Abschmelzen des Reuss- und Linthgletschers wurde die Reppisch zum Türlersee aufgestaut.
An easy, approx. 4.5-hour hiking route runs from the Uetliberg train station (813 m above sea level) via Uto Kulm (869 m above sea level), the mountain ridge of the Albis range with Felsenegg (790 m above sea level), Buechenegg (786 m above sea level) and Albis Pass (791 m above sea level) down to Türlen and the lake Türlersee (643 m above sea level). The popular tour boasts a striking panorama of the city of Zurich, Lake Zurich and the Central Swiss Alps.
The idyllic Türlersee is located between Aeugst am Albis and Türlen at the foot of the Türlerberg and Aeugsterberg mountains in the Säuliamt region (in the municipal area of Hausen am Albis, canton of Zurich). In the north, it is drained by the Reppisch river and is a recreational area and protected landscape. The almost 1.4-km-long Türlersee is the result of a rock landslide at the Aeugsterberg during the latest ice age about 10,000 years ago. Due to the melting of the Reuss and Linth Glaciers, the Reppisch was dammed up to build the Türlersee.
