Hydroelectric power plant, a legacy of the Dutch colonial era in PURWOKERTO
KETENGER PLTA
The Ketenger PLTA was the cornerstone of electricity supply for lighting in Banyumas Regency. After the residency was moved from Banyumas to Purwokerto on January 7, 1937, Purwokerto began to be visited by people from all over Central Java. However, the challenge at that time was lighting, which still used resin and torches. Then, the Dutch electricity company ANIEM built the Ketenger PLTA.
