How To Qualify For Weight Loss Surgery
Although many people wish to take the easy way out and undergo surgery to lose weight, this is not always possible. Patients who wish to undergo weight loss surgery must first qualify. Often times, doctors will not do the surgery unless the patient has first tried to lose weight with conventional means such as exercise and diet. For those who cannot do such things, surgery is available, but certain criteria must be met. For example, someone with a body mass index of 35 and has one or more weight related conditions qualifies. Also, someone with a body mass index of 40 without any weight related condition qualifies.
