The Tor network has been used by hackers for over a decade to avoid IP based bands and tracking. However, Tor is also easily detectable, and many websites ban users altogether. Criminals are increasingly turning to services like BlackProxy, which uses botnets and other sources of residential IP addresses to provide proxies that are indistinguishable from normal users.
