Last week, the Linux world was shaken up by a countdown promising a 9.0 Linux CVE. While vulnerabilities in CUPS could allow remote code execution, the risk is low due to non-default settings.
Discovered by Simone Margaritelli, these flaws only affect systems with cups-browsed enabled, making real-world exploitation unlikely. However, the vulnerability can be used to amplify denial of service attacks.
