NOYB has filed a privacy complaint against Mozilla with the Austrian data protection watchdog for using Firefox's Privacy-Preserving Attribution (PPA) feature to track users without consent

PPA, developed with Meta, was automatically enabled in Firefox version 128, allowing tracking across websites, sparking claims it interferes with user rights under GDPR.

Mozilla states PPA is a "non-invasive" way to measure ad effectiveness without sharing personal data, insisting browsers control this feature, not websites, and that there's an option to opt-out.
