Downscaling Chronicles 15: Analog Way Tetra Vio. 240p 15KHz Output to a CRT with Custom Timings
Analog Way’s Tetra Vio TVC401 is a commercial scaler that has user-programmable custom resolutions, capable of 240p output from HDMI and other SD/SD video sources. Let’s see if the impressive set of inputs and outputs are enough to trump the versatility and reliability of the Corio2 tvONE’s.

For best 720p to 240p downscaling results, I used 1280x240 60Hz. However this resolution did not output a synchronised signal for all inputs. Other timings that worked were 720x240 and 320x240, at the expense of scaling and compressing the horizontal pixels.
