Downscaling Chronicles 6: DVDO iScan HD+ vs Corio2 TVOne and GBS-C. The scaler I was looking for?
The goliath DVDO iScan HD+ is a premium video processor best known for its elegant upscaling. Just like the Corio2 TVOne 750, 240p was not an intended output resolution, but with custom video timings can produce progressive 15KHz. The user manual states the iScan HD+ can accept an array of resolutions, most notably 480p, 720p and 1080i (but not 1080p).
At the 6th instalment of the Downscaling Chronicles, the bar has been set high by the other downscalers. The TVOne 750 is the Swiss-army knife downscaler, accepting up to 1080p. The GBS-C is the every man’s 480p/i to 240p downscaler, and the Dexx and RetroTink 5x Pro are more extensive line-deleters; accepting 480p/i and 720p, to output 480i and 240p.
