Making Your Own Drum Machine (Multiple Samples)

The concepts in this video are a little more advanced. If you find yourself getting confused please watch the optional video at the end where I walk through all this a bit slower and in more detail.
In theory a sampler (an advanced one) can hold as many samples as you want. We’re not going to go as crazy as adding a thousand samples here but even just bringing in 7 or 8 samples will allow you to create your own drum machine (kit). With this plugin (and most samplers) you also have the option to isolate/send particular samples to their own output. What this means is we could process a kick drum sample separate from our snare drum while still keeping the midi for all the drums in just one channel. Again if that’s confusing watch the additional video.
I highly recommend that you experiment bringing in multiple samples to this instrument. Whether that’s creating a drum machine or a layered instrument…the sonic possibilities are truly endless.
