2023 March 2: "I grew up watching ‘The Jetsons'." JPods - Presentation by Bill James
Bill James Founder, CEO of JPods / bill-james-78bb953 presented the concept behind JPods jpods.com, a new urban way to travel above the right of way in your own personal solar-powered vehicle, or Pod.
Bill’s presentation addressed:
• How the idea got started
• How it’s evolved over the years
• What are the plans for the future for JPods in Plano, Irving, Arlington and for the "The COG"
"... at a first glance the pods look like a fair gondola ride which is exactly what they are -- a fee-based, point-to-multipoint aerial personal transportation system." The JPod vehicles run on electricity and are powered by solar. The tracks will be built within a roadway’s existing right of way, so there’s no extra land needed.
“I’m intrigued by the technology,” said Gyna Bivens, Fort Worth City Council mayor pro tem, at a September meeting of the Regional Transportation Council, on which she serves as vice chair. “I grew up watching ‘The Jetsons'.”
