New World ID Contacts is designed to help you keep your contacts organized, as well as share your information easily with other users via QR code. Developed by Namecard Cloud Management, this app will help you sync your contacts and make sure you never lose them.
Concept and Functionality
As someone who always tries to make sure important things are backed up on my iPhone and iPad, the thought of losing my list of contacts is terrifying. New World ID Contacts aims to help alleviate this concern by making it easier than ever to back up your contacts to the cloud and sync between devices.
New World ID Contacts is easy to set up once you’ve created your account. The process of adding new contacts is very straightforward, much like creating a new contact in your phone’s built-in app. You can choose to add each new contact to the app individually or import them via the settings menu.
When it comes to usability, New World ID Contacts doesn’t feel much different from the iOS contacts app we know and love. There are a few extra features that make it a bit more useful, but nothing revolutionary that would completely change the way I organize my contacts list.
Features
Even though New World ID Contacts doesn’t seem very different from the native contacts app, there are a few extra features that may prove useful to those who want to give it a try.
A helpful “Favorites” feature lets you choose individual contacts to save for super quick access via the bottom menu of the app.
Multi-device login is another feature of New World ID Contacts (along with cloud synchronization). However, users without a VIP subscription are limited by the number of devices that can be logged in with the same account.
New World ID Contacts also allows you to quickly share your contact information with other users easily via QR code or AirDrop.
Value
New World ID Contacts is available to download from the App Store for $0.99. However, you must upgrade to a VIP subscription in order to take advantage of extra features such as unlimited contact photos, unlimited multi-device logins, and priority customer support.
Overall, New World ID Contacts is a useful contact app that has an appealing design and is easy to use. However, I’m not sure how it surpasses the native iOS contact app just yet.
