Giant pandas, also called panda bears, are a specie of bears known for their distinct black and white coat. It has a plump body with black ears, snout and eye patches. The black fur on its upper body makes the panda look like it is wearing an undersized top, and its black fur makes it look like it is wearing long socks. . Giant pandas who once live in lowlands now reside in a few mountains in Central China due to deforestation and human activities. Giant pandas are solitary animals spending 10 to 16 hours daily foraging, and most of the remaining part of the day sleeping and pooping. Their digestive tract is adapted for a carnivorous diet; thus, they absorb little nutrients from their diet, which consists of about 99% bamboo.
