There will be some specifically designed postnatal classes coming very soon, but in the meantime I thought I'd pop up this gentle beginner class which could be used in the postnatal period. I would advise you to skip the chaturanga poses (which are basically a push up) and use the modified (knees down) version, unless you have been given the all clear by a women's health physiotherapist and have no concerns regarding diastisis recti.

Yoga in postnatal period offers fantastic benefits to your health and wellbeing as you move in to the fourth trimester. It can help with strength and toning and help you gently move in to your postnatal body in a supportive way, also offering positive benefits for your mental health, in what can be a hormonally driven and sleep deprived time.

I recommend waiting until after your 6 week check to start practising. Please bear this in mind when deciding to carry out your practice.
