Many of you don’t truly value your health because you’ve never come close to losing it or faced death as a consequence of neglect. You may say you value your health, but statistically, most of you don’t take the actions that reflect those values.
At 21, I was diagnosed with a massive brain tumor. That moment was the catalyst for taking my life into my own hands and working to change my circumstances. I quickly realized that while I valued my dream career as a professional freestyle BMX athlete, I hadn’t valued my health enough to sustain it. It became clear that my health was directly tied to my ability to continue living my dream, and without it, everything I cherished was at risk.
You have the freedom to choose how you live your life. But until you recognize that a lack of clarity and discipline around your values is creating the problems you’re unhappy with—and understand the consequences of neglecting them—you’ll continue to struggle.
As a performance coach, I guide my clients to align their values with intentional action, helping them build the clarity, discipline, and resilience needed to sustain their health and achieve their highest goals.
