Solve Compound Inequalities "and"
How to #solve "and" style compound inequalities.
Since there are two #inequality symbols with the variable in the middle, treat it like an equation with 3 "sides" and "undo" the operations than are being done to the variable to all three sides. Subtraction and Addition undo each other, and Multiplication and Division undo each other.
For graphing, you'll put dots on both numbers and shade between.
When writing these inequalities, the common mistake is having the inequalities facing the wrong way. Both inequalities should be less than's.
