FLL Cargo Connect with an RCX: an interrupted quest
This year, I was going to attempt every Cargo Connect mission using an RCX robot. I like the RCX, and I had a design that had potential, with two light sensors, and a rotation sensor shared by the two drive motors through the use of a differential. Five runs. Five attachments. I recorded the first run. Two other runs were completed, and about half of the fourth.
And then the RCX died. One of the sensor inputs stopped working.
It was the last functioning RCX I had. Now I have eight non-functional RCXs with various problems. I feel like a kid whose favorite toy is broken. It's a sad, sad day.
This was going to be run as an exhibition during our regional qualifier, and recorded at the event. This [test run] video is the only footage I made.
