In this video I go over what plyometrics are and how I use them with my athletes. I will show you two different ways plyometrics are prescribed to athletes and which one I prefer.
Plyometrics are a tool we use to develop an athletes ability to jump higher, sprint faster and become an overall better athlete.
To get the most out of plyometric training we have to know how, when and why we use them - as well as how much effort and intensity to put into every single rep.
As soon I tell people about plyometrics the first thing they think of are box jumps, while box jumps are a powerful tool for athletic development they are actually not a plyometric exercise, they are a ballistic movement.
