We begin with an example of a hardware emulation subtractive synthesizer. Hardware emulation being the classification (as in there are physical Oberheim synths) and subtractive being the synthesis form (how the sound is generated and shaped). For more information on subtractive synthesis please revisit the appropriate videos from our first course.
Note: If you want to tune this instrument (the second oscillator) perfectly in semi tones you do not need to it manually as I did in the video. Simply select the "step" button. Then set detune amount to taste.
