Driver: San Francisco by Ubisoft, 2011.
Despite being an open-world racing game with a very unusual story (and gameplay!), Driver: San Francisco also managed to drop in a handful of classic rally cars!
The only true rally car in the game is the Audi Quattro S1 E2, complete with in-car rollcage. The other two, a Ford RS200 and Lancia Stratos look more like the road-going versions, although sometimes the Stratos loads with a full rally-style 4 beam headlight bar attached to the front!
Car colour selection is, sadly, random, so you have to keep exiting the garage, hoping to get a colour you like, or going back in, reselecting, and exiting again... not really fun!
Sound is decent enough, graphics are nice enough, handling is... Driver-style tail-happy all the time! If you're wondering why it's so slippery here, it's because I was playing on joypad, as I was unable to get my Logitech G920 wheel working well, despite a fan-patch to support the wheel.
There are a fair few offroad sections dotted around the map, and a multiplayer (split screen, for example) session called Rally, so it's rally-enough to be included here!
