LeWitt Redrawn: Preparing the Walls
A landmark collaboration between MASS MoCA, Yale Art Gallery, Williams College Museum of Art, and the Sol LeWitt Studio, "Sol LeWitt: A Wall Drawing Retrospective" saw over 60 artists and art students spend six months rendering 105 large-scale wall drawings spanning the artist’s storied career.
Nearly 15 years after the exhibition opened, we're welcoming back a few familiar faces (and some new ones) to repair and restore LeWitt's drawings, in accordance with the artist's detailed instructions.
In this video, drafters begin the process of redrawing LeWitt's "Wall Drawing #1211".
