Blackwater Falls, West Virginia
We made a visit to Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis, West Virginia to visit the famous Blackwater Falls in Winter of 2020. Many people choose to visit during the busier months from spring to fall, but the falls take on an entirely different look and feel during the winter. The trail is easy to follow and you can choose the boardwalk trail or the "gentle trail," which is paved and handicapped accessible. If you want to include other short hikes in the area, try out Lindy Point (overlooking the Blackwater Canyon) or Elakala Falls.
