Oxararfoss, Thingvellir National Park, Iceland
LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE! Iceland is a country divided by a fault line that separates the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. It is called a divergent boundary, meaning that the plates are moving away from each other and Iceland grows bigger and wider every year. Because of its location in this hotspot, the country is known for frequent volcanic and seismic activity. Thingvellir National Park sits on the boundary of the two plates, the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, and you can walk between the two plates. You can see the edge of the North American plate in this video, as well as a beautiful waterfall called Oxararfoss on the Oxar River.
