EUR/USD Insight: PMI Data Analysis, Key Levels to Watch, and USD Strength Outlook

Happy Friday, traders! As the week winds down, let’s dive into the key market data we received, especially from Europe’s PMI reports and the U.S. labor market. On Thursday, mixed PMIs from Europe painted a complicated economic picture. French manufacturing PMI missed expectations, landing at 44.5, slightly below the 44.9 consensus, while German PMI results beat forecasts, underscoring Germany's manufacturing strength.

In contrast, UK PMI data missed across the board, with services and manufacturing showing weaker-than-expected figures. This inconsistency in European data has affected the EUR/USD, which showed volatility but remains under resistance at 1.0872. Traders should keep an eye on a potential breakout above this level for long opportunities or a drop below 1.0764 to signal continued downside.

In the U.S., strong labor data and resilient PMIs have bolstered the USD, suggesting continued strength, especially with upcoming FOMC and election events in early November. Looking ahead, we may see more USD strength as the EUR faces mixed signals. Next week promises further insights, so stay tuned and prepare for a potentially active November.
