Power BI - Closing review - WK12
As we close this season, we've covered a lot quickly. Some have been successful, and some have not, but the learnings have been fantastic. The next step series will build on this.
Power BI is never a one-and-done solution. Ongoing growth and development across your organisation are central to success. In our professional experience, the Microsoft recommended model of a Centre of Excellence is the best way to achieve excellence. The core of this is not trying to make a perfect deployment. Instead, the objective is to embed the skills and knowledge within the teams to maximise the value of your content. In the early days learning from Rob Collie, the term was "Democratisation of Data". That holds try, the more people can understand the data within the business the better and the more they can interact and steer that interaction the more value it provides.
