{EDIT: The original video I posted yesterday was cut off — yikes! Thanks to one of our viewers for telling us so we could fix the issue.}

On the knit side of our work, we're accustomed to performing decreases like K2tog (knit 2 together) or SSK (slip slip knit). On the purl side, how do we perform neat and tidy decreases so that they'll slant to the right or left when viewed from the knit side?

This technique will be helpful any time you're decreasing on the purl side of your work, for example, in the Carbeth Cardigan by Kate Davies (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr....

In this tutorial, Iris talks you through how to do this — purl two together (P2 tog) and purl two together through the back loop (P2 tog TBL).

You will learn how to see which way your decreases are leaning on the knit side of your work, then how to purl your decreases so you can achieve the same look.

This tutorial provides an overview, then you'll see the technique regular time, and finally in slow motion.
