Three-dimensional (3D) image depicting smooth muscle cells (red) on both dermal blood vessels and lymphatic capillaries (green) in lymphedematous human skin. The image was obtained using a confocal microscope (LSM880, Zeiss) after clearing the tissue. Sample was prepared by Nao Itai and Enkhtuul Gantumur from Shiseido Co., Ltd., MIRAI Technology Institute, Yokohama, Japan.
