Three-dimensional imaging of mouse skin, skin tissue clearing, hair cycle, hair biology.
Epithelial nuclei in the skin of K14-H2BGFP mouse are visualized with green-fluorescent reporter H2BGFP, which is regulated by the Keratin 14 promoter. Vasculature is marked red-fluorescent with Lectin after cardiovascular perfusion. For three-dimensional visualization, skin sample was cleared using the Binaree® Tissue Clearing™ kit. Image acquisition was performed on Nikon A1R Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope. Three-dimensional rendering was generated using IMARIS software. This work was conducted by Jung Min Park and Ji Won Oh from Department of Anatomy, Yonsei University College of Medicine, Korea.
