Covid-19, new coronavirus, Moderna, a US biotech company, launches tests for a RNA messenger vaccine
Teams from several countries are working on vaccine projects that would use genetic instructions to develop a coronavirus protein that would trigger an immune response. Strands of RNA or DNA inserted into human cells could allow these cells to make copies of the protein of a virus such as the coronavirus’ spike protein that help it enter the cells. These types of vaccines are safe and easy to produce, they only make genetic material, they don't use the virus material. A test campaign launched by Moderna, a biotechnology company, has started in the United States. Preliminary results look good and require further testing.
