America's first comedy club, the Crazy Country Club was started in 1948 in a Brooklyn neighborhood by Lou Burdo and entertained people for almost 50 years before it closed in 1993. Almost thirty years later, Lou's son Scott brought the Crazy Country Club to the Pocono Mountains complete with it's original tagline "warm beer lousy food". But the beer is ice cold and the food is excellent but it was Lou's marketing that really made the business stand out. If you want a great time in the Pocono Mountains try the Crazy Country Club. You can find more information and entertainment schedule at TheCrazyCountryClub.com.
If you are looking for an activity that is less zany, the Narrowsburg Honey Bee Festival is coming up on September 21st at Fort Delaware and a free vintage baseball game is taking place on August 24th at Noon in Lackawaxen at Veteran's Memorial Park. This demonstration of historic baseball through the years and the changing rules is educational and fun for all ages.
And don't miss the ride for the Lake and Wally Lake Fest on August 23rd - 25th in Hawley and on Lake Wallenpaupack. This annual event is always the highlight of the summer.
