Introduction to Networking - 2
This course will cover the history and fundamentals of communications systems. We will start at the beginning of networking by learning about computers. Then, lesson-by-lesson, we'll work our way to today. Today, convergence is combining the capabilities of voice, data, and video networks into a single communication system.
We'll cover specific areas of networking, including: cabling, network hardware, networking standards, network #protocols, #bridging, #routing, #switching, #VLANs, the phone system, and many other areas. This sounds like a long list - but don't worry - each subject will be broken down into its basic components. By the end of the course, you should have a solid understanding of how communication networks work.
