Derwen
Derwen parish church dates back to the 1200s and the churchyard contains a remarkable churchyard cross that was erected in the 1500s as a place where the Dominicans could preach.
Unfortunately, the Domincans also ran the Inquisition, which may have ensured an attentive audience, but put a black mark against their name which will never be expunged.
