The importance of symbols cannot be underestimated as it relates to effective maps. Symbols help convey information about the real world objects and data modeled on your map. Data can be conveyed either via unique shapes, color, or varying sizes. Without effective symbols, your map is severely limited in its usefulness. Starting with Version 13 of Simple GIS Client, GIS Software, support has been added for the addition of svg and png graphics to help define new marker symbols along with the true type and open type font support already provided in previous versions. Previous versions of Simple GIS Client already provided powerful capabilities for defining new and custom symbols for points, lines, polygons, and text/annotation. Version 13 builds on this functionality to also allow the inclusion of svg or png graphics to your symbol definition. With this new feature, users can create even more dynamic and complex marker symbols. For more information see https://simplegissoftware.com/simple-...
