ARM Advanced RISC Machine is Brain of the Modern Embedded Systems, if we want to understand Embedded System Design in detail, first and foremost we have to understand processor which is running inside the Microcontroller.
Basically, ARM is a 32-bit RISC Processor, operates between 50-100Mhz Execution speed, which has 32-bit ALU inside, 32-bit Registers R0-R15(SP, LR, PC), 32-bit Status Register, MAC unit, 32-bit Address bus and Data Bus, ARM Processor uses 3 Stage Pipelining, operates in 7 Different operating modes such as
User, system, FIQ, IRQ, Undef, Abort, SVC. ARM Processor also supports 16-bit operating mode to improve the code density and reduce the power consumption.
