Yellow, lace, fabric cover, roses, birds, butterflies, sewing, rubber stamping, stenciling, lots of extras and goodness in this pretty journal.
I started with an idea of making a yellow, lacey, pretty and feminine-theme journal. I pulled from my stash lots of papers, laces, doilies, images, and so much more that I couldn't possibly include it all, but it was there to choose from. This was a very organic creative process in making it. I didn't know what I would do next even though I had some ideas.
2 hand sewn-in signatures with over 64 5-1/2" X 8-1/2" pages, plus lots more journaling tags and cards. Outside size is 7-1/2" X 9-1/2" X 2" spine.
I am very pleased with how this journal came out.
I am a classically trained artist of drawing and painting and think of journal making the same as any other composition - I look to create harmony, unity, cohesiveness. When I make a journal I am making an art piece and all the elements need to work together so that I usually choose to not make parts and pieces for journals ahead of time, I make custom pieces for individual journals appropriate for those individual journals.
I hope you are inspired
