Our hotel was 2 mile away from Alcudia old town and 1 mile away from the beach. You can get lovely apartments nearer the beach for reasonable prices so shop around. I highly recommend visiting the Old town to have a walk around and try the beautiful restaurants. It can get a bit repetitive stuck in an all inclusive for the whole holiday.
