No talk, no faces: just hiking and nature.
To the right of the Nebelhornbahn in Oberstdorf the hike starts along the river Trettach. The great and yet lonely Rautweg finally leads us to the mountain farming village Gerstruben. Downhill we take the Hölltobelweg along the stream Dieterbach until we finally arrive back in the valley Trettach.
At a small bridge the hiking trail branches off into the Oytal. A narrow path leads along the rippling Oybach stream, the rocks pile up to the left and right. At the end of the pebble path along the Oybach, the Dr. Hohenadelweg continues on a road. Not quite ideal, but the views compensate for this many times over.
This hike can also be divided very well into 2 day tours. You can find more information (in german), great pictures and maps of the two hiking trails under the attached links.
The 1st hike from Oberstdorf to Gerstruben includes:
15.3 kilometers, 4.5 hours and 390 meters of altitude difference.
