Could THIS Be How We Change The World?
Changing our systems requires that we learn how to feel again.
Finding a new way of being that works for all of us - that leads to a place where the default ways we operate in society actually BENEFIT and SUPPORT life so that we don’t have to fight AGAINST the system in order to be well - is going to require that we reconnect with our HUMANITY.
It’s going to require that we shift our systems of dominance and control being markers of ‘success’ into ones where we see success as being the outcome that benefits the MOST amount of people.
It’s going to require that we shift out of our perpetual navel-gazing and self improvement into ways of being that promote deeper connection to and empathy towards those around us - so that we can figure out our place within the whole vs. thinking we can find who we are independent of society.
It’s going to require that we realize that more isn’t always better, and that we start to take into account the long-term outcomes of our actions vs. just looking at the immediate consequences.
It’s going to require that we learn how to connect with our bodies and emotions in a REAL way - in a way that drives us to understand what is and isn’t working about the culture and systems we have in a way that transcends the intellect and what currently ‘makes sense.’
These inner transformations of our value systems are how we are going to create the outer transformations we seek.
