This article comes shortly after a number of staff members left their roles working for the couple. The report claims that the Duchess of Sussex "belittles" and "terrifies" her staff, and has been nicknamed "Duchess Difficult" by some employees, with accusations that she "doesn't take advice."
The well-known Hollywood Reporter added to these claims, stating Meghan "marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders." The timing of the article, just before Prince Harry's 40th birthday, has raised concerns for the couple.
A source close to Harry and Meghan shared with a newspaper: "The Sussex team is fed up with these kinds of articles. They’re simply not true." The source emphasized that the timing is troubling, suggesting that a former staff member might be spreading false information to damage the couple's reputation.
The source also mentioned that the focus for Harry and Meghan’s team is now on building upon their successes from the past year and moving forward positively into 2025 and beyond.
These allegations come after several reports of a significant turnover of staff working for the couple in recent years. This includes the resignation of their chief of staff, Josh Kettler, in August, after just three months on the job. In total, 18 staff members have either left or been dismissed, as they found it challenging to meet the demands of their roles.
