Joint filling can be tricky since old floors may or may not decide to move exactly where the patching has been done. This one was done under the supervision of the building owner and at their direction. For any future movement, we used a semi-rigid polyurethane that has decent shore hardness but also elasticity.
Will it re-crack? No one knows for sure. We did our best to remove all fractured concrete and fill with a hard, elastic, resin.
No fixed rules when it comes to treating old slabs. Be sure to know the products being used to avoid any bad reviews should an old slab to decide to pull a new trick.
