Recently, a 3.75 inch Star Wars action figure sold for $525.000 at Heritage Auctions. In this little animation, we’re showing what the lucky buyer would have been able to buy at the recent Bukowskis Modern Art & Design auction for the same amount of money.

But to be fair, let’s say a few words about this little action figure. It was made in 1979 by Kenner as a giveaway for fans who’d purchased four other action figures. It depicts the bounty hunter Boba Fett that could fire missiles from its backpack. Sadly for Kenner, the loose mission was a choking hazard and soon before launch the loose missile was replaced by a missile welded to the backpack. But some of the original designs were produced before production was halted, possibly a hundred of them. And only two of them were painted in the original color scheme intended for production. And obviously, the one sold by Heritage Auctions were one of these two.

Personally, we would have chosen the 31 design pieces over the action figure. But honestly we understand the lucky buyer of Boba Fett. If you have the other figures, obviously you wanna be one of only two who have them all.
