A normal woman who is not trying to get pregnant should get 60% of their calories from carbohydrates, 20% from protein, and 20% from fat. A woman who is trying to get pregnant should get 40% of their calories from carbohydrates, 40% from protein, and 20% from fat.
Dr. Sapra also advises women who are trying to get pregnant to limit their caffeine and alcohol intake, have a good healthy breakfast, and maintain a healthy weight. She also mentions that having a good exercise routine can also increase a woman's chance of getting pregnant.
