| A Meditation for Ndumaeli |
In this video, you will be guided to visualize yourself breathing in a soft white light, bringing a sense of loving appreciation towards yourself and all of the good you have to offer. On each out-breath, you will be guided to extend this light towards someone in your life who you care about. Thus, a deep sense of love for both oneself and the other is cultivated.
In a world full of anger and negativity, this practice offers us a chance to tune in to our positive, helpful, and energizing emotions. Living in a loving state of being offers us the chance to relate differently in the world around us when times get tough.

Ndumaeli’s Story (2019):
Ndumaeli is a 70 year-old woman who was married at age 16, had her first and only child shortly thereafter, and was widowed by age 20. Ndumaeli received a little support from her family but not enough to cover all of her expenses. She worked odd jobs on farms and in local businesses, but was unable to cover her son’s school fees beyond primary school. As a result, he dropped out and developed an addiction problem, which he struggles with to this day. Ndumaeli doesn’t see him often, and deals with a significant amount of stress due to isolation and financial concerns. She would like to support her son through his recovery, but has no means of doing so.
Ndumaeli’s Hope:
Ndumaeli has dreams of starting up a chicken project, as well as running a small business selling firewood.
