I noticed many of the Pomegranate Tutorials I watched on YouTube were titled, "how to open a pomegranate really fast". Well, I haven't been successful in opening a pomegranate "really fast", but I have been successful in becoming more patient. Maybe that's what the pomegranate teaches us ... a lesson in delayed gratification. 😉
I felt this is an appropriate metaphor ... because everyone always asks me how to learn handstands or splits "really fast". To which I answer: I have no idea because it has taken me years. Some skills are quite hard to learn and require consistent practice over a long period of time.
One thing is certain in our modern lives: Rushing. Rushing is a lack of willingness to be in the present moment. Have you ever noticed how rushing implies a feeling of lack? Why is it so hard to wait for good things to happen? When you stop rushing and slow down, you enjoy life more. Things are more fun and interesting. You make fewer mistakes because you’re more focused.
