Games are incredibly popular on the App Store and it's no surprise that developers tend to put their own spin on popular titles. It's rare, but sometimes spin-offs turn out to be more popular than the original game.
Triple Prime, developed by Carlos Pessoa, is an addicting free game for iPhone and iPad that closely resembles the immensely popular 2048 game, but it has its own twists. Featuring endless gameplay and Game Center integration, this great game is a must-have for anyone who enjoys puzzles.
If you're familiar with 2048, you won't have any issues with figuring out Triple Prime. Even if you've never played the popular puzzle game, Triple Prime has an incredibly helpful interactive tutorial for new players.
The goal of the game is to slide numbers around the board and line up at least 3 of the same numbers. Tapping on them combines them and adds points to your score. The higher the numbers you combine, the more points you'll earn.
One thing that sets Triple Prime apart from similar 2048 games is that each game gives players two free lives. If you happen to run out of moves, you can use one of your lives to reset the board and line up your numbers so you can combine them again. The best part is that these lives are automatically given and you don't have to wait for them to replenish.
Triple Prime is a pretty simple game, but it does have extra features that make it even better. My favorite feature is Game Center integration, which lets you compete against other players around the world for the highest score. You can also earn a variety of achievements while playing the game.
Not only is Triple Prime fun and addicting, but it also serves an educational purpose by helping children learn prime numbers simply by playing a game. The best part is that both kids and adults will get hours of entertainment out of this challenging puzzle game.
Triple Prime is available to download from the App Store for free and is universally compatible with iPhone and iPad. The only in-app purchase is to remove ads for $0.99, but the ads aren't intrusive. However, it's a great way to support a fantastic game that'll provide you with hours of fun.
Overall, Triple Prime is very easy to learn but difficult to master. I really like the fact that extra lives are a given and the game actually gives you a chance to get a high score. I can't recommend it enough!
