Pimenta de Neyde, from Brazil. a Chinense x Annuum named after the lady that discovered it, was sent to me a few Years ago and grew Last Year, Its Cool as
The Pods are a Deep Purple, Almost Black that Stay Thay Colour even when Ripe and last season waited and waited for them to change but didn't. How Know when Ripe to pick, Usually dont so i wait till see signs of age in the pods then Pick and Dry.
The Plant itself grows great as can see and this in a Pot is 1.5 M tall, the Leaves are a Deep green . some Purple with Purple Veins and Stems and seem to like semi Shade or 1/2 day of sun.
What are they Like ?
How Hot are They ?
cruncy but dense, a Light Hab flavour then i couldn't Pick as was different and Charlotte said Bitter, Yes but in a Nice way so was ok But the heat took Over and seemed to lose the taste, Burped Later and got the flavour, but Light hab and Bitter..
Heat Hit fairly Quick on the tongue and mouth and then the Back of the Throat, all the Mouth started to sting as was stingy and then you could feel the burn all the way from the stomach to the Lips, was Pretty Excellent if Like a Good deep Stingy Burn about Hab heat,, Surprised Every1 and was a Good whack that seemed to Last For ages.
all round an Excellent Plant, Grows well and decent size, with the deep coloured Leaves get a heap of cool Looking Pods as well and doesnt really look like a chilli plus with the non changing colour , its 1 of my favorite Plants.
