An EtherCAT Slave Information (ESI) file contains information about the slave device (object dictionary). The master reads it to properly format commands and display data to the user. The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate how to properly edit the PDO mapping using an SDO initialization sequence and provide an alternative if the master does not provide an SDO initialization sequence (by manually editing the PDO mapping in the ESI file).
