Microscopy Using Open-Loop Microstepping and High-Res Load Encoder
How to use high resolution incremental or Analog SIN COS with interpolation on the Load and open loop on the stepping motor. In this example we will use a 0.3mm pitch ball screw and low resonance stepping motor and learn how to determine encoder correction counts from the perspective of the motor shaft. Stepping motors have very stiff holding torque and do not dither when holding micro step in voltage mode so we will see how to use this mode to turn off corrections after the move is done.
